Rev. Dr. Matthew ReevesPastor and Head of StaffMatt began his service as pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church on November 27, 2011. He served nine years as Associate Pastor of Parkville Presbyterian Church in Parkville, Missouri. His ministry emphasizes spiritual formation, adult ministries, pastoral care, worship and missions. Matt's ongoing education includes the following: Doctor of Ministry, 2015 University of Dubuque Theological Seminary Master of Divinity, 2002 Princeton Theological Seminary Bachelor of Arts, 1998 The College of Wooster Matt and his wife Heather have two sons, Gareth and Evan.
Elizabeth GoodinChildren's Ministries DirectorElizabeth has a strong background in children's and family ministry. She was previously employed as Director of Christian Education at Solon Community Church. She is currently taking classes in Biblical studies and also teaches piano lessons privately. Elizabeth and her husband, Mark, have four children.
Pegi DicksonOffice Manager and Interim Web AdministratorPegi has extensive experience in office management. Prior to joining the Christ Church staff she was the office manager for nearly six years at Destination Geauga in Middlefield where she worked diligently to promote Geauga County. She is currently involved in continuing education classes in social media, customer service and time management. Pegi is a wife, mother and grandmother, and lives with her husband Richard in Mentor. She has a passion for serving and volunteers in her free time at Project Hope for the Homeless.
Joshua ChenowethChoir DirectorEducation: Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Kent State University Josh is a music and band teacher at Benedictine High School. His mission in life is to glorify God in music. Josh and his wife, Jackie, live in Mentor with their sons, Christian, Samuel and Benjamin, and their daughter Jocelyn.
Susan CongdonOrganistSusan earned a Bachelor of Arts in French from Wittenberg University. After six years of teaching high school French, Susan became a certified Microsoft Master Instructor and formed a computer consulting business. She studied organ under Betty Clark, Trudy Faber and Crandall Hendershott. Susan has served as a church organist since the age of 15. After retiring from her previous church position after 25 years, she joined the staff of CPC in 2001. Using her skills as a computer software instructor for local businesses and universities, Susan also served as CPC's Web Administrator. Susan has two sons and six grandchildren.
The duties of deacons are sympathy, witness and service after the example of Jesus Christ. Deacons demonstrate care for the sick and the needy, ministering to their spiritual needs as well as providing tangible assistance, such as home-cooked meals during convalescence or bereavement. They also undertake service projects to provide needed items to designated charitable organizations.
